The Ghana Education Service (GES), has directed private and regular
candidates who sat for the 2018 Basic Education Certificate Examination
(BECE), to dial *800*25# to confirm their choice of schools.
The move is to ensure that schools chosen by
candidates are exactly those the GES has in its system. This is to
ensure a hitch free School Placement this year.
Parents and candidates are informed that
the USSD Code is what has been approved by the GES and cautioned them
not to be deceived by individuals who take advantage of situations to
deceive the public.
They are asked to also look out for flyers and info Graphs of the USSD on Social media.
A statement signed by the Head of Public
Relations of the GES, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, said candidates with any
form of mistakes on their school selection forms are to inform the
District Director of Education in their Districts through their Heads of
Junior High Schools.
Complaints must have a covering letter from their Head Teachers with a photocopy of their signed original choice forms.
